Donate Any Portion of Your $100 to Charity
And Co-op Will Do All the Work!
Co-op Services Credit Union has a 55-year history of giving back to our members and the community. That's why we designed our latest checking program with the focus of giving back. Until the end of the year, we'll give $100 to anyone who opens a Co-op Services FREE Checking Account with Direct Deposit, Internet Banking and e-Statements. If you need it, keep it. But if you can, we've created a method for you to join in on the giving by donating a portion of the money to a local charity. Simply visit any of our convenient branch locations and upon account opening, select the portion of your $100 that you would like placed in your account*, and the portion that you would like donated to charity. That's it, Co-op will do all the work. Giving back has never been so easy!
Why are we doing this? Well, over the past few months, Co-op has been working on its own special project that focuses on giving back, called Project 100. What is Project 100, you ask? Well, it's a program designed to promote the positive aspects of giving in our local communities. Basically, Co-op's giving away 100 dollars to 100 random people over 100 days in an effort to encourage people to give back to others in their local community. When we developed Project 100, we knew that giving away money alone wouldn't be enough. We needed to create a spark that would continue to spread. Therefore, we enlisted the aid of those who receive the $100 dollar bills by encouraging each recipient to continue the effort of giving back in their local community. Co-op created Project 100 to help Southeast Michigan communities, and now we've created a way for you to get involved and give back too!
As new checking accounts are opened and money is designated for charity, we’ve asked our members to select where they want the money to go. To facilitate this, Co-op has selected several local charities, each of which is profiled at www.whatisproject100.com. Simply visit the site, vote for a charity and at the end of the year, the three charities with the most votes will each receive one third of all donations. Be sure to visit
www.whatisproject100.com and vote in the favorite "Co-op Cares Project".
Want to get more involved in your community? Just visit the "Give Section" on the Project 100 website (

and volunteering. You can also spread the word about Project 100 by telling all of your friends to become a fan on Facebook (
